Brother Dennis is a character from The Busy World of Richard Scarry episode The Royal Game of Dennis.
He is a pig and he is a monk in a French monaestry in the 15th century.
His job is to do chores with Brother Pierre, but he would rather play than work. One day, when King Charles VIII was visiting the monastery, he and Brother Pierre tried to assist Brother Francois to create a game for the king.
But Abbot Thomas put them to work washing socks and beating a carpet but somehow with the carpet paddles and the socks they invented the game tennis by accident.
In The Busy World of Richard Scarry, Brother Dennis is voiced by the late Len Carlson.
